Wase Japanese Dining

Opened on 1st October 2008, Wase Japanese Dining's concept was to introduce traditional Japanese home style dishes using the freshest Australia produce. This style of cuisine requires exceptional skill in traditional cooking techniques and extensive knowledge to match... both of which Master Chef Mr. Satoru Matsumoto has plenty. Trained by one of the most famous chef in Kyoto, Japan he has 15 years of experience in Japan under his belt, specializing in both Kaiseki cuisine and sushi.

Fish is delivered fresh daily, fresh wasabi and wasabi leaves are flown in from Tasmania, they blend their own very special soy sauce and only premium grade Nishiki rice is used. There is no compromise in their quest to provide the best quality Japanese Cuisine in Sydney.

Appreciation of tradition is also reflected in the extensive use of recycled timber in the interior of the restaurant – natural woods are widely use throughout traditional Japanese homes and restaurants, and Wase Japanese Dining is no exception. The restaurant is stylish but relaxed and comfortable, with 5 private and cozy booths ideal for small gathering or family dinner.

Wase Japanese Dining believes comfort and in comfort food, "by the end of your meal, customer should feel warm, comfortable and relaxed. Not over powered by each dish nor should you feel uncomfortable. When you come to Wase Japanese Dining, it is like coming to our home for dinner. We have created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for our guests. And everyone is invited!"

Despite all efforts, not every delight on the menu could be tasted on one visit, but the Soft Shell Crab Tempura Roll and the fish or beef Tataki should not be missed. And Wase Japanese Dining definitely wins the threecourses.com award for the most sweet and smiley waitress!
